About Us

Dimitris is the Director of the American Space in Xanthi, a result of the partnership between the Municipality of Xanthi and the Embassy of the USA in Greece. The American Space offers educational programs focusing on new technologies, educational robotics, and youth entrepreneurship for young people in the wider region. Dimitris successfully organizes the First Lego League Regional Competition in Xanthi, earning commendations from the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, for this outstanding effort. He is Co-founder of Thrace Negotiations Tournament.
In recognition of the activities and partnerships related to youth entrepreneurship, Xanthi Tech Lab secured the fourth position in the Start-upper Awards 2018 under the category of Public-Private Initiative and Structures. Dimitris has been honored three times with Bravo Sustainable Awards Dialogue for his contributions and partnerships at Xanthi American Space.
Additionally, Dimitris is the Public Relations & Communications Manager at Light Hub, the entrepreneurship support structure of the Evros Chamber of Commerce. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Diploma in Negotiations & Conflict Management.

 Dr. Iro Koliakou is the STEM Coordinator of Anatolia College. She has more than ten years of experience in developing learning methods and training teachers. Dr Koliakou coordinates four EU-funded projects related to STEAM, inclusion and sustainable development. She is also a Scientix Ambassador, participating in the creation and evaluation of numerous teaching resources and projects. Her latest work includes organising the first EU STEM Female Leaders within European Schoolnet, supporting the writing of the first Scientix observatory paper on STEAM and inclusion in Europe, evaluating and creating content as a lead teacher in the European Commission's Joint Research Centre project on 3Rs in animal testing, evaluating the ARETE project aiming to test the usefulness of augmented reality (AR) technologies in education and developing digital content for Science on Stage Europe related to education She is an active member of the Greek Women in STEM and Real Science networks, promoting STEM inclusion. Iro Koliakou has published more than 15 papers in scientific journals and has participated in STEM training in European centres such as CERN, ESA, EMBL and European SchoolNet!

Ilias works as a Freelance Full Stack Developer with eight years of extensive professional experience in Web, Network & Cloud technologies, who started his career in coding, working as a freelancer on several international projects. After about five years, he decided to follow a career path oriented more towards flexible service delivery. So today, he leads a professional career in Modern Website Development, Web Apps, e-Commerce, Digital Marketing and Cloud Services.
It also has an extensive volunteer activity, as it is an active member of the Cultural Association. He has been a trainer & co-organizer of F.I.R.S.T. Lego League in Xanthi. It actively participates in social and cultural actions that help the development of the local society

I am currently working as a Product Owner for _VOIS Romania. I have more than 8 years of experience working in software development in various roles, with experience ranging from embedded development to cloud deployment. Looking back at my volunteering experience, I've been a robotics referee for Robochallenge Romania for the past 5 years and a tech & business mentor for Innovation Labs Romania for the past 5 years. Innovation Labs Romania is a local business incubator for early technology start-ups which provides mentorship, networking and funding for young leaders that want to build a new business.
